Netflix has unveiled a new official teaser for The Scandal, offering a closer look at Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, and NANA in the upcoming Joseon-era romance drama. The series is set to premiere globally on Netflix on September 18.
The teaser introduces a dangerous wager at the center of the story. Son Ye-jin plays Lady Cho, who proposes a risky bet to Ji Chang-wook’s Cho Won. NANA’s Hui-yeon then becomes caught in their tangled web of desire and deception as the game unfolds.
The Scandal is a remake of the 2003 Korean film Untold Scandal, which reimagined French novelist Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’s 1782 classic Dangerous Liaisons in a Joseon-era setting. The new Netflix series revisits that world of temptation, forbidden desire, and dangerous games, following characters who challenge the strict social codes of their time in pursuit of what they desire. Netflix has confirmed Son Ye-jin, Ji Chang-wook, and NANA as the series’ leads, with Jung Ji-woo directing.
The newly released teaser offers a major look at the three leads ahead of the drama’s September debut. It leans into the tension surrounding the wager and hints at the consequences it could have for everyone caught in the game.
The Scandal premieres on Netflix on September 18, 2026.
